The birdhouse project was created in a moment of quiet to welcome song. Starting in our garage, we crafted the first few.

We enlisted Jerry Nance to make an edition of 100 birdhouses from two reclaimed wood types. Teak birdhouses were constructed from remnant teak boards from The High Line project. Shou Sugi Ban birdhouses were constructed out of cedar boards from New York City water towers. Editions can be found at brentbuckarchitectseditions.com.

A gilded birdhouse was produced as a one-off study; constructed from cedar wood and gilded with 24k gold leaf.
